Amrit Mahotsav to Celebrate 75 Glorious Years of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly: Speaker Vasudev Devnani

Jaipur, In a significant announcement, Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani stated that the Amrit Mahotsav will be celebrated to mark the 75th year of the establishment of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. As the state assembly enters this historic milestone, preparations are underway to launch a series of commemorative events.

The Rajasthan Legislative Assembly was constituted in 1952, and with its 75th year commencing, Speaker Devnani shared that a comprehensive blueprint for the Amrit Mahotsav celebrations is being developed.

He made these remarks while addressing a farewell ceremony for retiring officers of the Legislative Assembly. On the occasion, Deputy Secretary Banwari Lal Meena, Assistant Secretary Narendra Kumar Sharma, and Private Secretary Purushottam Sharma were felicitated for their distinguished service.

Rajasthan Assembly: A Living Temple of Democracy

Calling the Assembly a “living place of democracy”, Devnani emphasized that the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly is counted among the finest in the country. He highlighted initiatives such as the Illustrated Constitution Gallery and the Political Narrative Museum, which have been opened to the public and attract daily visitors.

He urged all Assembly employees to contribute actively in preserving and enriching the democratic legacy of the institution, remarking that the dignity and impact of the Legislative Assembly rest on the dedication and hard work of its personnel.

Prominent dignitaries present on the occasion included Principal Secretary Bharat Bhushan Sharma, Special Assistant K.K. Sharma, Senior Deputy Secretary Purushottam Sharma, and Ravi Jain, Chairman of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Employees Cooperative Credit Committee, along with several other officers and staff members.

Visit by Former Himachal Assembly Speaker

Earlier in the day, former Speaker of Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Dr. Rajiv Bindal paid a courtesy visit to Speaker Devnani. During the visit, Devnani gave Dr. Bindal a guided tour of the Assembly chamber and the legislative complex.

Birthday Wishes to Dr. C.P. Joshi

Speaker Devnani also extended warm birthday greetings to former Speaker Dr. C.P. Joshi, wishing him a long, healthy, and fulfilling life.
