Jaipur, Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, delivered the keynote address at the inaugural Southern Command Territorial Army (TA) Military–Civil Coordination Symposium 2025, held today in Jodhpur.
This symposium, being the first of its kind initiative, aimed to bring together the armed forces, academia, industry leaders, and eminent thinkers on a common platform to strengthen military–civil synergy and accelerate efforts to make the nation stronger, safer, and more resilient.
In his keynote, the Army Commander highlighted the growing importance of military–civil cooperation in addressing the complexities of modern warfare and nation-building. He emphasized that leveraging the combined strength of diverse sectors is the key to confronting emerging security challenges and developing innovation-driven solutions.
The day-long symposium witnessed eminent speakers deliberating on the changing character of warfare, the integration of advanced technologies, and the collective role of society in shaping future security paradigms. Through interactive sessions, thought workshops, and regional visits, participants were provided an opportunity for meaningful exchange of ideas and formulation of practical strategies.
Organized in the spirit of collaboration and foresight, the symposium reaffirmed that enduring frameworks of national strength, adaptability, and progress can be built through coordination between the armed forces, civil society, and industry.
The event concluded with the Indian Army reiterating its unwavering commitment to act as a bridge between the military and civil society, thereby reinforcing the shared responsibility towards national security and development.
