Special Drive to Curb Overcharging and Illegal Vending at Catering Units

Indian Railways conducts regular campaigns to address issues related to catering services and overcharging in trains. In this series, a special drive has been launched on Ajmer Division from 21 November 2025 to 04 December 2025 to completely curb overcharging and eliminate illegal vending at catering units across major stations.

Under the directives of the Railway Headquarters and orders of Divisional Railway Manager Shri Raju Bhutada, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Shri Mihir Dev has instructed Divisional Commercial Inspectors at Ajmer, Abu Road, Bhilwara, Dungarpur, Falna, Marwar Junction, Mavli Junction, and Udaipur City to conduct surprise inspections in their respective sections and take strict action against any instance of overcharging or unauthorized vending found during checks.

As part of the campaign, commercial inspectors are conducting meetings with all vendors and catering contractors, instructing them to display updated rate lists, ensure proper police verification, deposit license fees on time, sell only Rail Neer water, avoid employing unauthorized vendors, and comply with all catering-related guidelines issued by the Railways.
