Over ₹1.66 Crore Worth of Ganja Seized in Kota District

Kota, Acting on the directions of Kota Rural SP Sujeet Shankar, a special police operation was launched under the leadership of Mandana Police Station In-charge, Ajay Kumar Sharma, to crack down on illegal drug trafficking in the region.

Based on a tip-off from an informant, police received information about a suspicious XUV vehicle with black-tinted windows abandoned by three individuals on a forest route ahead of Ranakyakhedi village. Acting swiftly, the Mandana police team located and detained the Mahindra XUV bearing registration number DL 12 CA 6627 at the scene. Despite an extended search of the nearby forest area, the three suspects managed to escape.

Upon searching the detained vehicle, the police discovered 65 plastic packets containing a total of 333.430 kilograms of illegal ganja, valued at over ₹1.66 crore. Legal procedures were immediately initiated for seizure and investigation.

The police team comprised Sub-Inspector Ajay Kumar Sharma, along with constables Brijesh Kumar, Shravanram, Satyaprakash, Islam Mohammad, Surendra Singh, and Pankaj Kumar. Constable Shravanram has been credited with playing a key role in the operation.

Search efforts are ongoing to apprehend the absconding smugglers.
