Udaipur, The city of lakes, culture, and creativity—Udaipur—is set to witness a unique celebration of art. The Urban Sketchers Udaipur community will showcase its remarkable journey through an exhibition, “Lines and Stories of Udaipur – 150 Weeks of Urban Sketching,” on August 30–31 at RK Mall. The exhibition will feature sketches of Udaipur’s lakes, havelis, lanes, and chowks, created over 150 weeks of artistic exploration. The inaugural ceremony will be held on August 30 at 11:30 AM in the presence of UDA Commissioner Rahul Jain and UCCI President Manish Galundia.
From Streets to Sketchbooks: A 150-Week Artistic Journey
Founder of Urban Sketchers Udaipur and architect Sunil Laddha shared that the two-day event will include live sketching sessions, an art talk “Anybody Can Sketch,” a watercolor demonstration, and a special lecture on moto art by Tahir Merchant. In addition, Rajat Kahaniwala will present his unique style “Sketch with Story,” blending art and literature.
An Invitation to the City
Laddha invited residents and art lovers to bring along their own sketchbooks and become part of this creative celebration. He added that the exhibition is not only a platform for appreciating and understanding art but also a way to rediscover Udaipur’s heritage, culture, and beauty from a fresh perspective.
