Mitash Sahu from Lake City Wins Chess Award

Udaipur In the recently concluded Jaipur Open Classical FIDE Rated Chess Tournament, hosted by Royal Chess Club and Jaipur District Chess Association, Mitash Sahu from Lake City Udaipur won a cash prize of ₹6,000.

Tushar Mehta, patron of Lake City, shared that Mitash defeated Harsh Mamtani, Rakesh Kumar Patel, and Shreyansh Puri, while drawing with five other players to secure 5.5 points. This remarkable performance earned him a 69-point increase in his FIDE rating.

During the prize distribution ceremony, IAS officer T. Shubh Mangla presented the award to Mitash. On this occasion, members of Chess in Lake City — an initiative of Buddhibal Seva Sansthan — expressed their joy. Congratulations were extended by President Rajeev Bhardwaj, Vice President Dr. Om Sahu, Rajendra Teli of Rajasthan State Association, Advocate Manish Mogra, Secretary Vikas Sahu, Nilesh Kumawat, Manish Chandalya, Kushal Patel, Bhavesh, Kapil Sahu, Richin Jain, and all office bearers and players of CIL International School of Chess.
