Unorganised Workers Urged to Avail Social Security Benefits through E-Shram Card


Udaipur, An E-Shram card camp dedicated to unorganised workers concluded today at Chetak Circle in Udaipur. The event was organized at Nagar Nigam’s Rain Basera, Gandhi Ground, under the joint collaboration of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India’s D.T. National Board for Workers Education and Development (Regional Directorate Udaipur), Social Security Federation of India Udaipur, Jag Vidya Trust Udaipur, and the District Legal Services Authority Udaipur.

The chief guest of the programme was Additional District and Sessions Judge Shri Kuldeep Sharma. The event was presided over by former State Minister of the Rajasthan Labour Welfare Board, Shri Jagdish Raj Shrimali, while Shri Puneet Gautam, Regional Director, Government of India, was the special guest of honour.

Programme coordinator and General Secretary of the Social Security Federation of India, Saurabh Gupta, informed that around 70 E-Shram cards were issued to unorganised workers during the camp and were distributed by the Hon’ble Judge. On this occasion, the E-Shram Card pamphlet was also unveiled by the dignitaries present on the dais.

Sunil ji from CSC provided E-Shram card registration services and briefed the attendees on various related schemes. The event was graced by INTUC State Vice President Khushvendra Kumawat, Udaipur Labour Welfare Department’s Labour Inspector Pinki Swarnkar, District President of the Federation Giriraj Mali, Rain Basera in-charge Amrit Garasia, and Ejaz Khan, among others, who shared their insights and informed the workers about various welfare and development schemes.
