Special Campaign by Excise Department: Crackdown on Illegal Liquor Across Rajasthan

Udaipur,  Under the directions of Excise Commissioner Shivprasad Nakate, the Rajasthan Excise Department has intensified its special preventive campaign against the manufacture, storage, transport, and sale of illegal liquor across the state. The campaign includes roadblocks, raids, and patrolling, resulting in multiple cases being registered.

The campaign is being conducted under the supervision of Additional Excise Commissioner (Administration) O.P. Jain and Additional Excise Commissioner (Policy) Pradeep Singh Sangawat, following a zero-tolerance policy toward liquor smuggling from other states, and the illegal transport and sale of alcohol.

During operations in Jaipur, raids in areas including Bassi, RICO, Bajupura, Trilokpura, Lasadia, Faliyawas, and Sank Sindoli led to the destruction of 3,000 liters of wash and two raw distillation units, along with the seizure of 552 pouches of country-made liquor, 48 pouches of rum, and 12 beer bottles. Two cases were registered.

In Shrikrampur, Bikaner, officers seized 7 liters of hand-made liquor, destroyed 60 liters of illicit wash, and arrested one person. In Rajgarh, Churu, 4 liters of hand-made liquor and a bottle of Malta were seized, and an active distillation unit was dismantled. During a checkpoint in Ladnun, authorities recovered 80 pouches of country liquor from a Honda scooter.

Similar roadblocks, raids, and intensive patrols are being conducted across all districts of the state under this special preventive drive, targeting illegal liquor operations and ensuring strict enforcement.
