 A massive blood donation camp

On the occasion of the Mahaparinirvan Diwas (Great Emancipation Day) of the venerable Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, a massive blood donation camp was organized on December 6, 2023, at the Government Medical College Dungarpur and Shri Haridev Joshi General Hospital Dungarpur.

Medical college faculty, physicians from the general hospital, staff, and nursing students enthusiastically participated in the event. Dr. Mahendra Damor, the director of the hospital, emphasized the significant contribution of Dr. Ambedkar to the nation and stressed the importance of remembering him in some way.

The hospital's deputy controller, Dr. Mahendra Paramar, highlighted the need to follow the principles advocated by Dr. Ambedkar. Senior physician Dr. Kantilal Meghwal emphasized the importance of working towards the social upliftment principles propagated by Dr. Ambedkar.

Dr. Dinesh Kharadi spoke about the struggles faced by Dr. Ambedkar in adverse circumstances and urged everyone to donate blood on this day to potentially save lives in times of need.

Dr. Praveen Bairwa, the coordinator of the program, led the proceedings, boosting the enthusiasm of all medical and nursing students. Medical Superintendent Dr. Mahendra Damar awarded certificates to all blood donors.

Dr. Rajesh Saraiya, Dr. Jagdish Salvi, Dr. Gaurav Yadav, Dr. Kuldeep Vyas, Dr. Dvij Pandya, Nursing Officer Jagdish Meena, Poonam Rathore from the Blood Bank, Abhishek Mehra, Malararam, Gopal Jani, Mohan Lal Yadav, Pushpa Yadav, Bachhusingh Bairwa, and Devi Lal were present at the event.

By 12:30 PM, a total of 27 units of blood had been donated by the generous blood donors.
