Delivering the keynote address as the Chief Guest, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Shiv Singh Sarangdevot stressed the importance of imparting value-based education and preserving cultural traditions through quality teaching. He recalled the vision of the university’s founder Pandit Janardan Rai Nagar, who believed in preparing responsible nation-builders through education. He shared that in 1966, the college was started with just 80 students, and today, over 2,500 students receive teacher training here annually, many of whom are now serving in government and private sectors.
Prof. Sarangdevot further mentioned that the institution’s journey has always been aligned with social responsibility and inclusive education, especially for the underprivileged – a vision rooted deeply in the foundation laid by Janubhai.
Chancellor and University Head Bhanwar Lal Gurjar, who presided over the event, extended his congratulations on the occasion. He reflected upon the contributions of the founding members and commended the institution's efforts in maintaining educational values amid the challenges of academic and professional competition in today’s world.
A special highlight of the event was the launch of a new book on Physics Education authored by Dr. Rachna Rathore and Dr. Indu Bala Acharya. The book was unveiled by the dignitaries during the ceremony.
In her welcome note, Principal Prof. Saroj Garg shed light on the 59-year journey of the college, outlining its achievements in the field of education and sharing insights on future plans and challenges. She emphasized the institute’s commitment to academic excellence and teacher training.
