Udaipur: Bhupal Nobles University inaugurated a three-day Faculty Development Program focused on universal human values at the university’s seminar hall. The event was graced by Chief Guest Prof. H.D. Charan, Chairman of NCCIP, and presided over by Dr. Mahendra Singh Agariya, Secretary of Vidya Pracharini Sabha. Distinguished guests included Dr. Chandresh Chhatlani, AICTE Observer; Mohabbat Singh Rathore, Managing Director of Bhupal Nobles Institute; Dr. Niranjan Narayan Singh Rathore, General Secretary of Bhupal Nobles University; and keynote speaker Piyush Sharma from AICTE. Chairperson Colonel Prof. Shiv Singh Sarangdevot extended his best wishes for the successful conduct of the program and emphasized the importance of organizing similar initiatives in the future to provide comprehensive guidance to all participants.
The program began with the traditional Ish Vandana ceremony, followed by a warm welcome for the guests in the customary Atithi Devo Bhavah manner, including the presentation of ceremonial scarves. Prof. Renu Rathore, Dean of the Faculty of Science, delivered the welcome address, providing detailed insights into the three-day program and highlighting its significance in the contemporary context. She noted that 85 members from various universities and colleges across the Udaipur division had registered for the program.
Dr. Mahendra Singh Agariya, in his address, emphasized the importance of human values and their relevance today. He urged participants to explore and understand the inherent human values within themselves and follow them with dedication toward societal, national, and global welfare.
Chief Guest Prof. H.D. Charan elaborated on human values, stressing the need to study nature and understand its processes, contributions, and sustenance mechanisms. He highlighted that while animals, birds, and plants understand and respect natural laws, humans often fail to fully comprehend them. Prof. Charan also discussed the distinction between the inert and conscious aspects of humans and shared guiding principles for personality development.
The event was attended by Prof. Ritu Tomar, Associate Dean of the Science Faculty; Dr. Girdharpal Singh, Co-Coordinator of the program; faculty members from Science, Commerce, and Arts faculties; researchers; and students. The program was conducted by Dr. Anita Rathore and Manisha Shekhawat, with the vote of thanks delivered by Program Coordinator Dr. Priyanka Shaktawat.
The Faculty Development Program aims to inspire participants to integrate universal human values into education, research, and personal development, strengthening the university’s mission of holistic learning and character-building.
