High Court Dismisses Petitions, Auction of Quarry Plots on Track

The petitions filed by Aravali Resources and Ecosafe Infrastructure Projects have been dismissed by the Honorable High Court of Jodhpur, clearing the way for the auction of quarry plots in the state. The High Court, while ruling on five petitions related to the auction of gravel mines, rejected four petitions filed by the state government and canceled the stay order issued on one petition.

It is noteworthy that Aravali Resources had placed the highest bids for plots 2, 5, and 6 in the Bhilwara area, totaling approximately 100 hectares. After a successful auction, the bidder was required to deposit 40% of the total amount with the state government within 15 days. However, Aravali Resources failed to deposit the required amount within the stipulated time, prompting the state government to forfeit the bid amount in accordance with the rules. Subsequently, a dispute was raised in court regarding the auction conditions and the failure to deposit the 40% amount.

The Honorable High Court of Jodhpur upheld the state government's actions and dismissed all three petitions filed by Aravali Resources, along with one petition filed by Ecosafe Infrastructure Projects. Additionally, the court revoked the stay order previously issued on one of the petitions. With the dismissal of the petitions, the process of auctioning these plots has been expedited, potentially allowing for legal quarrying activities in these areas and ensuring the availability of gravel to the public.

The state government, represented by Additional Advocate General Shri Mahavir Vishnoi, has been actively monitoring such cases at both the departmental and district levels, ensuring timely and effective representation. The monitoring of cases related to the mining department in the High Court of Jodhpur is being carried out by Mr. Deepak Gehlot, Assistant Mining Engineer.

With the dismissal of the petitions, the state government is making efforts to resolve pending cases promptly, thereby facilitating the auction process and upholding the law regarding both legal and illegal quarrying activities in the region.
