Vigyan Samiti Udaipur Marks 67th Foundation Day

Udaipur, The 67th Foundation Day celebration of Vigyan Samiti, Udaipur was held with great enthusiasm at the Mary View Auditorium. The ceremony was graced by Prof. I.V. Trivedi, former Vice Chancellor of Mohanlal Sukhadia University, as the Chief Guest.

The program commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp and rendition of the Samiti Geet. In his welcome address, President Prof. Mahip Bhatnagar extended greetings, followed by Founder & Chief Patron Dr. K.L. Kothari, who presented a brief account of the committee’s 66 years of service. He recalled that Vigyan Samiti, established in 1958, was allotted land in Ashok Nagar in 1971, and since then, the institution has continued to grow in stature and impact. Working President Munish Goyal presented the annual report of activities.

Chief Guest’s Address

In his keynote remarks, Prof. I.V. Trivedi praised the relentless social and educational contributions of Vigyan Samiti, describing it as a beacon of science and knowledge for society. He emphasized that the organization has consistently inspired the younger generation, and expressed his willingness to actively contribute to its mission, calling it a “sacred yajna of science.”

Presentation of Distinguished Awards

Under the stewardship of Prof. L.L. Dhakad, several distinguished honors were conferred on this occasion:

Mahendra Kumar Taya & Sheikh Shabbir Mustafa – Vishisht Janseva Samman (Distinguished Public Service Award)

Anuvrat Samiti, Udaipur – Vishisht Sevabhavi Sanstha Samman (Distinguished Service Institution Award), received by Patron Ganesh Dagliya and President Praveena Talesara

Er. Rajendra Kumar Khokhawat – Vishisht Seva Samman (Distinguished Service Award)

Mrs. Suman Swami – Mahadevi Verma Emerging Writer Award

Mrs. Laxmi Devi Nagda – Justice Kanta Bhatnagar Women of Merit Award

Mr. Ratan Lal Jat – Dr. Yashwant Kothari Outstanding Farmer Award

Ceremony Conduction

The program was chaired by Prof. Mahip Bhatnagar (President, Vigyan Samiti), Dr. K.L. Kothari (Founder & Chief Patron), and Munish Goyal (Working President). Proceedings were conducted by Dr. R.K. Garg, General Secretary.

The event witnessed a large gathering of academicians, social workers, and eminent citizens, all of whom lauded the achievements of Vigyan Samiti and extended best wishes for its bright future.
