Udaipur. The 257th annual two-day Urs of Hazrat Ajmeri Beg, popularly known as Malang Shah Baba, will be celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm on December 7 and 8 at his shrine located inside the Surajpole Maqbara graveyard.
According to Abdul Latif Mansuri of the Urs Committee, preparations for the Urs are in full swing, just as every year. To ensure smooth arrangements and better facilities for the devotees, various responsibilities have been assigned to committee members Younus Bhai, Shakeel Sindhi, Soyab Sindhi, Shabbir Khan Sindhi, Haji Habib Khan Sindhi, and others by forming separate sub-committees.
Committee spokesperson Abdul Aziz Sindhi informed that the two-day Urs will take place on December 7 and 8. On the first day, Sunday, December 7, the event will begin after the Zuhr (afternoon) prayer with Quran recitation, during which verses from the Holy Quran will be recited. The newly constructed langar hall will be inaugurated by Sufi Nisar Ahmed Qadri of Basni. After the Asr (evening) prayer, the traditional flag-hoisting ceremony (Parcham Kushai) will be performed at the shrine. Later, after the Isha (night) prayer, a Milad gathering will be held, featuring sermons and devotional poetry (Naats) by Maulana Sufi Nisar Ahmed Basni-Nagaur, Gaddinashin of Naukunti Dargah Padukalan Faqir Ramzan Ali Shah, Maulana Muhammad Mehbub-ur-Rehman Qadri Habibi (Imam, Maqbara Mosque), Maulana Syed Fazil Miyan Maisuri, Maulana Muhammad Aftab Alam Ashrafi, Maulana Rashid Barkati, Maulana Saubdar Alam, poet Javed Qadri, Muhammad Irshad Qadri, Muhammad Tufail Qadri, and other scholars and ulema from across the city.
On the second day, Monday, December 8, another Milad gathering will be held after the Zuhr prayer, featuring sermons and Naats. After the Asr prayer, Mastan Baba Dargah Trust will present a ceremonial chadar at the sacred shrine. Later, at 4:30 PM, the concluding Kull ki Fatiha (final prayer) will be offered
