Kota: Station House Officer of Borkheda Police Station, Police Inspector Anil Kumar Tailor, along with Assistant Sub-Inspector Kartar Singh and Constables Mohit, Radheshyam, Manish, Bajranglal, and Gajanand, successfully foiled the plans of criminals, preventing a major robbery on the highway.
The accused were allegedly planning to carry out robberies targeting truck drivers and other motorists on the national highway four-lane road within the Borkheda police station limits. Acting swiftly before the crime could be executed, the police arrested five suspects who were reportedly planning the robbery.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Manish Suman (resident of Simaliya), Vikas Yogi (resident of Digod), Pradeep Meena (resident of Udyog Nagar), Rohit Meena (resident of Kaithoon), and Ajay Meena (resident of Shimla).
Police recovered a Maruti car, a country-made pistol, a dagger, knives, chili powder, and women’s clothing from the accused. The suspects are reportedly linked to the “0007 Kohinoor Gang.” According to police sources, the gang members carried out robberies under the instructions of their gang leader.
Tejaswini Gautam, Superintendent of Police, Kota City, stated that a citywide campaign is underway to arrest wanted criminals. Intensive checking drives and crackdowns are being conducted continuously to apprehend habitual offenders involved in illegal arms possession, theft, and robbery.
Additional Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar Saini said that the police had received information that five accused were sitting in a car near a petrol pump on the Naya Nohra four-lane highway area. Disguised in women’s attire, they were allegedly planning to deceive truck drivers and other motorists into stopping their vehicles and then rob them at gunpoint.
The accused had reportedly planned that if anyone resisted, they would open fire with the country-made pistol or attack with knives, and then flee with the looted cash. Acting on this information, the police team conducted a prompt operation and arrested all five suspects, thereby averting a major crime.
