#Rajasthan Lacrosse Team Retains Federation Cup for the Second Consecutive Year

At the 2nd Lacrosse Federation Cup held in Katra, Jammu, defending champions Rajasthan once again showcased exceptional skill, discipline, and team coordination—successfully defending their titles in both men’s and women’s divisions and securing a historic double triumph for the second straight year.

In the men’s final, Rajasthan defeated Gujarat, while the women’s team overcame Haryana to maintain the state’s remarkable winning streak. The men’s team advanced to the final by beating Chhattisgarh in the quarterfinals and Andhra Pradesh in the semifinals. The women’s team progressed by defeating Uttar Pradesh in the quarterfinals and Chhattisgarh in the semifinals. A total of 16 top state teams from across India participated in the championship.

Celebrating Rajasthan’s consistent excellence, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, Minister of State for Sports K.K. Bishnoi, and Rajasthan Lacrosse Association President Ashok Parnami extended their congratulations on social media.
Rajasthan Sports Council Chairman Neeraj K. Pawan, Lacrosse promoter and Udaipur Divisional Commissioner Pragya Kewalramani, CEO Sajjad Khan, and several association officials also conveyed their best wishes.

Rajasthan’s Dominance in National Lacrosse

Notably, Rajasthan has won 19 medals—including 15 gold—out of the last 22 national lacrosse championships held over the past three years. Their consistent performance has boosted India’s hopes for participating in lacrosse at future Olympic Games.
Recognizing the growing potential of Rajasthan’s athletes, the state government announced the establishment of a Lacrosse Academy in Udaipur during the previous budget session. The project is currently progressing under the supervision of the Udaipur administration.
