Udaipur . "Exports are the foundation of our economic development. They promote innovation, create new job opportunities, and contribute to wealth generation. Exports help businesses expand beyond domestic borders into the global market. Rajasthan, especially Udaipur, has a strong base in sectors such as minerals, textiles, handicrafts, marble, and engineering products, presenting immense potential for the global market," stated M.L. Lunawat.
This was conveyed by the Honorary General Secretary, Dr. Pawan Talesra, who provided details about the "Export Promotion Program" organized by the Udaipur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI) in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO).
In his welcome address, President M.L. Lunawat informed the participants about UCCI's initiatives to encourage industries and businesses in the Udaipur division. He emphasized that in the coming times, the manufacturing industry will strengthen the country's economy through production and international exports. He also discussed UCCI's efforts to increase exports from the Udaipur division.
Mr. Bhupendra Singh from the Federation of Indian Export Organizations provided a brief overview of FIEO's activities and the services offered to exporters to boost exports from the country.
During the technical session, Mr. Shailendra Sharma, Joint Director and General Manager of the District Industries Centre, shared information about the Rajasthan government's export promotion schemes and various incentives available for micro, small, and medium enterprises.
Mr. Dhanman Meena, Assistant Commissioner of the Customs Department, explained the customs clearance process for exported products and the role of the Customs Department in promoting exports.
Mr. Abhishek Sharma, Joint DGFT, discussed the new grant schemes by DGFT.
Mr. M.L. Gupta, Deputy Director of the Rajasthan State Agricultural Marketing Board, presented a slide show on the board's initiatives.
Export expert and former bank officer Mr. Gourang Vasavada spoke about the export banking process and the guidelines of the EDPMAS and the Reserve Bank of India concerning export bills.
Mr. Surendra Kumar Vishwakarma, Deputy General Manager of Punjab National Bank, provided insights into the financial processes related to exports.
Mr. Kalpataru Bheda, General Manager of ECGC Jodhpur Branch, discussed ECGC policies, export financing, and export credit insurance.
During the session, Dr. Pawan Talesra highlighted the challenges faced by exporters in the Udaipur division and suggested solutions for these issues.
The experts addressed questions and concerns raised by participants during the Q&A session.
The seminar was conducted by Mr. Bhupinder Singh from FIEO. Approximately 200 representatives from major exporting organizations in Udaipur participated in the workshop.
