Mumbai,The sixth edition of the ‘Mahatma Gandhi Ratna Award 2026’ will be held on October 2 at Raheja Classic Club in Andheri West, Mumbai. The prestigious award ceremony is being organised by Krishna Chauhan Foundation (KCF), a Mumbai-based social organisation founded by filmmaker and social worker Dr. Krishna Chauhan.

The ceremony will honour distinguished personalities from various fields, including social service, business, medicine, police, administration, law, journalism and the Hindi film industry. Bollywood artists and technicians who have made notable contributions to their respective fields will also be felicitated.

Among the prominent personalities expected to attend the event are IPS Krishna Prakash, IG Mohan Rathore, DSP Bajirao Mahajan, B.N. Tiwari, Dr. Yogesh Lakhani of Bright Outdoor Media, Padma Bhushan recipient Udit Narayan, Padma Shri awardee and renowned bhajan singer Anup Jalota, Deepak Parashar, music director Dilip Sen, Tinu Verma, Ali Khan, comedian Sunil Pal, Ketan Karande, Ramesh Goyal, Prof. Advocate Dr. Sunil B. Gaikwad, Dr. Aditya Singhania, Mustafa Yusufali Gom, Deepak Desai, Acharya Pawan Tripathi, Commando Madhusudan Surve, Basavaraj Subhash Gave, Mohammed Sayyed and Nilesh Manohar Mungikar, among others.

A native of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Krishna Chauhan has been associated with Bollywood for the past 24 years. He began his film career as an assistant director and has since worked on several advertising films and music videos.

Dr. Chauhan is also set to begin production of his upcoming horror-thriller film ‘Aatma Dot Com’ soon.

Over the years, through KCF, Dr. Krishna Chauhan has organised several award ceremonies in Mumbai celebrating excellence and contribution to the entertainment industry and society. These include the Bollywood Legend Award, Bollywood Iconic Award, Legend Dadasaheb Phalke Award and Mahatma Gandhi Ratna Award, among others.

The sixth edition of the Mahatma Gandhi Ratna Award is expected to bring together personalities from diverse professions on a common platform to recognise their achievements and contribution to society.
