Udaipur: Rajasthan Governor Shri Haribhau Bagde visited the historic and religious town of Kailashpuri during his Udaipur visit on Sunday. He offered prayers at the revered Eklingnath Temple and later visited the Bappa Rawal Panorama at Mathatha, Kailashpuri, gaining insights into Mewar’s glorious history and rich cultural heritage.

Prayers Offered at Eklingnath Temple

The Governor reached Kailashpuri at around 10:45 a.m. on Sunday during the auspicious month of Shravan. He was welcomed by ADM City Jitendra Ojha, ASP Umesh Ojha, Executive Magistrate Hitesh Trivedi and representatives of the temple trust.

Governor Bagde offered prayers and performed rituals at the Eklingnath Temple, praying for peace, prosperity and the well-being of the people of Rajasthan. He also learned about the religious and spiritual significance of the historic temple.

Governor Visits Bappa Rawal Panorama

After offering prayers at Eklingnath, Governor Bagde visited the nearby village of Mathatha and explored the Bappa Rawal Panorama. He paid floral tribute to the equestrian statue of Bappa Rawal and respectfully remembered the founder of Mewar.

Set amid a natural landscape, the panorama presents an extensive depiction of Bappa Rawal’s life, personality and achievements, military campaigns, leadership qualities and administrative system. The Governor took keen interest in the exhibits and learned about important historical episodes associated with Mewar.

A Glimpse of Mewar’s Valour and Legacy

During his visit, Governor Bagde gained a closer insight into Mewar’s illustrious history, valour and rich cultural traditions. He appreciated the manner in which significant episodes from Bappa Rawal’s life and the foundation of Mewar have been presented at the panorama.

While viewing the panorama, Governor Bagde remarked, “This panorama is a mirror of Mewar’s history.” He said that the life and achievements of Bappa Rawal are highly inspiring and exemplary. His courage, leadership and contribution to Mewar hold a distinctive place in history.

The Governor observed that such panoramas play an important role in connecting the younger generation with the region’s glorious history and its great personalities.

Floral Tribute at Bappa Rawal’s Memorial

Governor Bagde also visited the memorial of Bappa Rawal located near the panorama and paid his respects by offering floral tribute. He remembered the contribution of the founder of Mewar and expressed his reverence for his enduring legacy.
