Udaipur: Hindustan Zinc’s Shiksha Sambal program is driving meaningful improvements in the quality of education across rural and remote government schools, strengthening classroom learning and creating better academic opportunities for students. The program is currently being implemented in 75 government schools, supported by more than 60 fellows and field personnel serving as teachers and academic facilitators.

Through regular classroom teaching, additional academic support and remedial sessions, Shiksha Sambal teachers are helping students strengthen their foundational concepts and improve their learning levels. The initiative has contributed to a consistent positive trend in the academic performance of participating schools over the past several years, reflecting the impact of sustained educational support and focused interventions.

A key component of the program is the continuous professional development of teachers. Regular training, mentoring and classroom support equip educators with innovative and effective teaching methodologies. These interventions help make classroom instruction more engaging and effective while improving student learning outcomes.

As part of the program, 12 outstanding Shiksha Sambal teachers were recognised for their significant contribution toward improving academic results and increasing student enrolment in their respective schools. The recognition celebrates their dedication, hard work and commitment to creating better educational opportunities for children.

One of the most inspiring aspects of Shiksha Sambal is the transformation of its own beneficiaries into educators. Some teachers currently serving under the program were once students who benefited from Shiksha Sambal themselves. After experiencing the program’s impact, they have returned as teachers, helping educate and shape the future of the next generation. Their journey reflects the program’s long-term impact and the spirit of giving back to the community.
