Udaipur When women move forward, families flourish, communities prosper, and the nation takes a decisive step towards self-reliance. With this inspiring vision, Laghu Udyog Bharati, Udaipur’s Ahilyabai Holkar Unit is bringing Swayamsiddha–Ahilya Udyam Expo 1.0 to Udaipur from September 25 to 27 at Shubh Kesar Garden—a vibrant three-day celebration of women entrepreneurs, artisans, innovators and creators. A Fair Where Every Stall Belongs to a Woman The defining feature of the expo is simple yet powerful: all stalls will be operated by women entrepreneurs. With a target of 105 stalls, the expo will provide an affordable platform for women who are building businesses from their homes, MSME units, startups and traditional crafts. The number of stalls may be increased depending on participation. Special free stalls will also be offered to tribal women, giving them an opportunity to bring their unique products and traditional skills before a wider audience. To ensure diversity, the organizers also plan to limit stalls featuring the same category of products, allowing visitors to discover a rich variety of offerings. From Skill to Enterprise, From Enterprise to Self-Reliance Dr. Reena Rathore, In-charge of Swayamsiddha for Chittorgarh Prant, said that women across Rajasthan are increasingly turning their skills into successful enterprises through the Swayamsiddha initiative. The initiative has already helped thousands of women find customers and markets, with several entrepreneurs now taking their products online and strengthening their financial independence. For Udaipur, this will be the fifth Swayamsiddha exhibition, but its expanded scale has given it a new identity—Swayamsiddha–Ahilya Udyam Expo 1.0. A Celebration of Tradition, Innovation & Entrepreneurship Visitors will discover a wide spectrum of women-led enterprises, including: Handicrafts and traditional art Handloom and traditional textiles Women-led products and home enterprises Startups and innovative ventures Modern technology-based enterprises Live demonstrations Networking and business opportunities Dr. Rishika Paneri, President of the Ahilyabai Holkar Unit, described the expo as a potential milestone for Udaipur, with the larger vision of creating a strong marketplace for women entrepreneurs. Under the inspiring theme “From Nari Shakti to Atmanirbhar Bharat,” the expo seeks to bridge the gap between women who possess talent and products and the markets and customers they need to reach. A Platform Beyond Sales Swayamsiddha is not merely an exhibition—it is a social and economic initiative aimed at creating sustainable opportunities for women. Whether a woman works from home, runs an MSME, creates traditional handicrafts or is developing an innovative startup, the expo offers her a platform to: Showcase • Connect • Learn • Sell • Grow The initiative also aims to encourage better product quality, stronger customer connections and greater market access. Making Entrepreneurship Accessible Seema Pareek, President of the Rani Lakshmibai Unit, emphasized that Swayamsiddha consciously keeps participation costs affordable so that even small women entrepreneurs can participate. The focus is equally on customers, with products being offered at reasonable prices so that more families can benefit while supporting women-led businesses. Behind this three-day celebration lies more than six months of dedicated preparation, reflecting the commitment of the organizers towards women’s economic empowerment. A Collective Vision Laghu Udyog Bharati Udaipur President Rajendra Surana highlighted the organization’s continued efforts to promote women and entrepreneurs and create opportunities for their growth. The event was also attended by Manoj Joshi, Secretary Shubham Dangi, Monica Kothari, Gudli Unit President Deepak Harkawat, Girwa Unit President Om Dave and Kaldwas Unit President Babusingh. Swayamsiddha–Ahilya Udyam Expo 1.0 is more than a three-day exhibition. It is a celebration of the spirit of Indian women—their skill, enterprise, creativity and determination. Because when a woman becomes self-reliant, she doesn’t just build a business—she builds a stronger family, a stronger society and a stronger Bharat. 25–27 September | Shubh Kesar Garden, Udaipur Nari Shakti • Udyam Shakti • Atmanirbhar Bharat
