Hindustan Zinc celebrated its 47th Mining Safety Week
Hindustan Zinc celebrated its 47th Mining Safety Week in the Udaipur region, involving more than a thousand participants from the Rajpura Dariba, Sindesar Khurd, and Jawar Group of Mines. The event was organized by Vedanta Group's company, Hindustan Zinc, and focused on women's empowerment and employment in the mining sector.
The Safety Week concluded with the enthusiastic participation of employees, business partners, and local administrative representatives. Various events and awareness programs were organized to promote safety culture and empower women in the mining sector.
Prominent guests at the event included Tom Mathew, Director of Mining, North-West Region, Udaipur; JP Verma, Director, Engineering, North-West Region, Udaipur; and Sanjeev Toshniwal, Deputy Director, Mine Safety, Udaipur.
More than a thousand employees, stakeholders, and business partners participated in the event. Various competitions and awareness programs were conducted during the event to enhance safety awareness, including safety skits, slogans, and poetry competitions. The Director of Mine Safety commended Hindustan Zinc for its commitment to safety and its active initiatives in line with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals.
