Udaipur - Pacific Institute of Medical Sciences, PIMS Hospital, Udaipur, observed World Radiology Day on Wednesday in the Radiology Department. Ashish Agrawal, Chairman of PIMS Hospital, extended his wishes to everyone. Colonel Dr. Yadavendra Singh Yadav, the Commanding Officer of the Army Hospital, was the distinguished guest of the event. Dr. J.K. Chhaparwal, Vice-Chancellor of Sai Tirupati University, Dr. Suresh Goyal, Dean of PIMS, Dr. Chandra Mathur, Medical Superintendent, heads of all departments, resident doctors, and technical staff participated in the event.
Professor Dr. Hariram, the head of the Radiology Department, provided extensive information about the facilities available in the Radiology Department, such as X-rays, sonography, CT scans, MRI, fluoroscopy, DSA, mammography, and interventional radiology. He explained how these facilities make it easier to diagnose various diseases and internal injuries in the body, facilitating patients' treatment. Dr. Hariram also shared the life story of Professor Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen, the father of radiology, who discovered the X-ray technique on November 8, 1895. Since then, there have been significant advancements in the field of medical diagnostics worldwide. Orthopedics Head Dr. B.L. Kumar, Dr. Rajaram Sharma from the Radiology Department, Dr. Saurabh Goyal, Dr. Bhatnagar, HOD of Gynecology, Dr. P.P. Sharma, Head of General Surgery, Dr. Kamlesh, and Dr. Kushwaha from the Anesthesia Department were present at the event.
