*Udaipur:* In an international symposium organized by the International Samrasta Manch in Delhi, the India-Nepal Cultural Symposium honored 31 talents with the Indira Gandhi Samrasta Award and Dr. G.V. Krishnamurthy Award on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna, former Prime Minister, the late Smt. Indira Gandhi, and former Chief Election Commissioner, Dr. Krishnamurthy.
The main guests at the event were former Delhi Minister Narendra Nath, senior politician Harpal Rawat from Uttarakhand, Dr. G.C. Rao, Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court, Smt. Padma Krishnamurthy, Special Advisor to the First Vice President of Nepal, Mahavir Prasad, who was honored with the Nepal National Cap Shawl Medal, and others.
The Indira Gandhi Samrasta Award was conferred upon 21 individuals, while 10 talents were honored with the Dr. G.V. Krishnamurthy Award. The notable recipients include Suman Baramecha (Chennai), Mangal Shivaji Solanki (Maharashtra), Parshesh Rao (Rajasthan), Dr. Seema Surana (Madhya Pradesh), Usha Kumar (Haryana), Pranita Talesara (Rajasthan), Dr. Radhika Ratan (Punjab), Madhu K. Nal (Uttarakhand), Nisha and Sunita (Haryana), Harish Pandey (Rajasthan), Smt. Narayani Devi (Rajasthan), Kamlesh Arya (Uttar Pradesh), Manju Sen (Rajasthan), Ahilya Bhale Rao (Madhya Pradesh), Sudha Rathore (Madhya Pradesh), Saroj Meena (Rajasthan), Anju Vashisht (Haryana), Dr. Anamika Garg Modi (Rajasthan), Prabhat Singhvi (Rajasthan), Neelam Kumari (Bihar).
The Dr. G.V. Krishnamurthy Award was presented to Vinod Kumar (Kathmandu), Uday Kumar Agrawal (Bihar), Rajesh, Dr. Mahendra Singh Vashisht, Tank Nath Chitwan (Nepal), Vijay Kumar Tomar (New Delhi), Deepshikha Bharti, Advocate (New Delhi), Rajesh Ranjan, Social Worker (Delhi), Tanushree Acharya (New Delhi).
The main objective of the symposium was to revive the Vedic-era culture of India and Nepal, fostering unity and promoting India's prestige and strength through the principles of Panchsheel. The participants were also invited to the 22nd Samrasta Sanskrit Coordination Symposium scheduled to take place in Kathmandu, Nepal, from December 28 to 31, 2023. The awards were presented to individuals for their contributions to various activities in society.
