Sports Discussion Organized at Olympic Festival*
**Udaipur:** On Saturday, an engaging discussion with renowned international athletes who have participated in the Olympics and Asian Games was held at the ongoing Olympic Festival at Third Space, organized by Third Space and the French Embassy's cultural branch, Alliance Française.
National athletes like kayaker Tanishk Patwa, climber Praveen Singh, Paralympian Jagsir Singh, basketball player Ramkumar, and runner Gopal Saini shared their experiences with over 200 children from various schools. The purpose of the discussion was to highlight the importance of sports in life.
Rohit Jani, Partnership Head at Dhara Heritage, mentioned that the Olympic Festival at Third Space runs from 10 AM to 10 PM, featuring film shows for schools, live broadcasts of Olympic activities in the fan zone, and exhibitions on the science of sports and Olympic history.
Rohit Jani highlighted that Gopal Saini's national record in athletics remained unbroken for 38 years. Ramkumar, known as Upistani, is famous for his three-point shots in basketball. Udaipur's Tanishk Patwa has represented India internationally in kayaking. Praveen from Bangalore has represented India in sports and rock climbing. Jagsir Singh has won medals in para-athletics for five years. Senior coaches, and students from Abhilasha School for the Deaf, Rockwoods, CPS, Maharana Mewar Public School, and Government Higher Secondary School Sukher, among others, participated.
Dhara Heritage CEO Ketan Bhatt shared that the senior athletes' insights were valuable life lessons, emphasizing strong willpower, dedicated efforts, hard work, and minimal complaints. They advised aspiring athletes to focus less on mobile phones and more on their sport, practice extra for progress, spend less time with friends, maintain a healthy diet, and devote maximum time to their sport.
Alexandre Gillardo from the French Embassy noted that the festival includes screenings of various famous sports-related films at very low prices for the public, and free screenings for schools, aiming to raise awareness and interest in Olympic sports.
