Free Sonography for Pregnant Women at Private Centers
Udaipur: A training workshop for private sonography center operators was held at the District Council Auditorium under the direction of District Collector Arvind Poswal and in the presence of Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Shankar H. Bamnia. The workshop focused on the implementation of the Maa Voucher Scheme, which provides free sonography for pregnant women during their second and third trimesters at private sonography centers.
CMHO Dr. Bamnia explained that under the Chief Minister's Ayushman Arogya Voucher Scheme, pregnant women will receive one free sonography in their second and third trimesters at registered private sonography centers. The workshop was attended by CMHO Dr. Bamnia, DPO Sadakat Ahmed, DPC PCPNDT Mrs. Manisha Bhatnagar, and DNO Pratap Singh from the CMHO office.
Dr. Bamnia detailed the Maa Voucher Scheme, stating that pregnant women attending the Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan held on the 9th, 18th, and 27th of each month will need one sonography in their second and third trimesters. In areas without sonography facilities at government hospitals, these women will be referred to registered private sonography centers for free sonography services. Pregnant women will receive a voucher after their PCTS entry, and a QR code will be sent to their registered mobile number, which they can present at the private sonography center for a free sonography test. The government will reimburse the private centers Rs. 450 through the Ojas software.
DPC PCPNDT Mrs. Manisha Bhatnagar mentioned that around 80 private sonography centers in the district have already given their consent, with more centers expected to join soon. DPO Sadakat Ahmed and DNO Pratap Singh provided comprehensive training on the entire process.
