Udaipur, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma virtually inaugurated the buildings of two newly constructed government colleges in Udaipur district during a ceremony held in Fatehgarh, Jaisalmer, on Wednesday. The buildings for Government College Rishabhdev and Government College Nayagaon were constructed at a cost of ₹4.5 crore each. This development is expected to significantly boost higher education opportunities for students in the tribal regions.
The formal inauguration ceremony at Government College Rishabhdev was attended by Udaipur Lok Sabha MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat as the chief guest. During his address, Dr. Rawat emphasized the commitment of both the central and state governments to make higher education more accessible in the region. He highlighted the government's intention to provide a conducive environment for higher studies for the youth of this area, and urged everyone to ensure that the upcoming generation fully benefits from the educational facilities being provided by the government.
Assistant Director of College Education, Dr. Satish Acharya, shared that the building for Government College Rishabhdev was constructed with state government funding at a cost of ₹4.50 crore, and currently houses 535 students. Similarly, the building for Government College Nayagaon was completed at a cost of approximately ₹4.50 crore and currently accommodates 356 students. The event was also attended by Kherwada MLA Dayaram Parmar, former MLA Nanalal Ahari, Assistant Director of College Education Dr. Satish Acharya, Nodal Principal of Government College Kherwada Dr. Rekha Pancholi, and Acting Principal of Government College Rishabhdev Dr. Ranjit Meena.
