25th National Divyang Art Fair to Begin in Udaipur

Udaipur: The picturesque city of Udaipur is set to witness a unique event, as the 25th National Divyang Art Fair, organized by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment’s Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, will be held from March 21 to March 30. The fair, hosted by the National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation (NHFDC), will take place at the Town Hall premises and will feature over 100 products from disabled entrepreneurs and artisans across the country.
The fair will be inaugurated on March 21 at 4 PM by the Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, with the event running daily from 11 AM to 9 PM. The fair aims to provide a large platform for marketing and showcasing products and skills created by persons with disabilities (PWD).
**Highlights of the Fair**
More than 100 disabled entrepreneurs and artists from 20+ states and union territories will exhibit a wide variety of handmade crafts, handloom, embroidery work, packaged foods, and other products representing diverse regions of India. The fair serves as a unique initiative for the economic empowerment of disabled individuals. Visitors can find home décor, lifestyle items, clothing, stationery, eco-friendly products, packaged food, organic products, toys, gifts, personal assistance materials, jewelry, clutches, and much more for sale.
**Tasting Flavors from Across India**
During the event, food stalls featuring famous dishes from various regions of India, all prepared by disabled individuals, will allow visitors to enjoy a diverse culinary experience from across the country.
**Cultural Programs and Performances**
The fair will also host a series of cultural programs, with performances from professional artists, including disabled performers. On March 30, the grand cultural event *Divyang Kala Shakti* will feature disabled artists from different parts of the country.
**Vocal for Local & Local for Global**
This unique event will also promote the "Vocal for Local" and "Local for Global" concepts, giving local artisans and entrepreneurs an opportunity to showcase their skills on a global platform.
**Second Time in Rajasthan**
Since its inception in 2022, the Divyang Art Fair has seen 24 editions across the country. This will be the second time the event will be held in Rajasthan, following the sixth edition in Jaipur in 2023. Udaipur will host this exceptional event, bringing attention to the skills and talents of disabled artisans.
