Udaipur: A division-level workshop on the liquidation of cooperative societies was held on Tuesday at the Central Cooperative Bank's headquarters in Pratap Nagar, Udaipur, under the guidance of Additional Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Mrs. Gunjan Choubey. This workshop is part of the ongoing International Year of Cooperation 2025 activities. The special guest for the event was Regional Audit Officer, Ashutosh Bhatt.
The workshop commenced with a welcome address by the Managing Director of the Central Cooperative Bank, Udaipur, Animesh Purohit, who outlined the objectives and scope of the session. In her address, Mrs. Choubey emphasized the strict adherence to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued by the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India, for the liquidation of cooperative societies, ensuring that all steps are followed meticulously.
The workshop was conducted in four sessions. Sub-Registrar Lokesh Joshi provided detailed insights into the model operational guidelines issued by the central government for liquidating societies. Special Auditor Kautilya Bhatt elaborated on the provisions introduced under the Rajasthan Cooperative Societies Act of 2001, which govern the dissolution and liquidation of societies.
