Udaipur: The State-Level 'Young Talent Award Competition,' organized by the Western Region Cultural Centre, Udaipur, concluded successfully on Friday at the Darpan Auditorium, Shilpgram. The competition aimed to provide a platform for young talents aged 18 to 30 in various cultural categories, including folk singing, folk dance, folk music, and folk theatre, to showcase their skills and gain recognition at the state and national levels.
Furkan Khan, Director of the Western Region Cultural Centre, Udaipur, shared that the competition was designed to promote the diverse cultural heritage of Rajasthan and give youth a chance to display their artistic abilities. The competition saw participation from many talented individuals in different cultural forms, and the panel of judges included Deepak Joshi, Shivraj Sonwal, and Dr. Pamil Modi.
The winners of the competition were selected as follows:
- Folk Dance: Urmila Vaishnav
- Folk Singing: Deene Khan
- Folk Instrumental Music: Sharif Khan
- Folk Theatre (Gavri): Lokesh Kumar Meena
Each of the winners received a cash prize of ₹10,000 and a certificate of recognition. The event was organized in the presence of Pawan Amarawat (Deputy Director, Program), Durgesh Chandwani (Assistant Director, Financial and Accounting), CL Salvi, Prem Shankar Nagda, Akbar Mohammad, and other distinguished guests. The event was conducted by Prerna Pandya and concluded with a vote of thanks by Siddhant Bhatnagar.
