Udaipur, — The atmosphere at Geetanjali Medical College & Hospital was infused with warmth, grace, and reverence as it hosted an emotionally rich and grand Mother’s Day Celebration in association with Preksha Entertainment. Held at the Late Narmada Devi Auditorium, the event paid tribute to the enduring strength and nurturing spirit of mothers, making it a heartfelt homage to womanhood and maternal love.
The presence of Maharaj Kunwarani Sahiba Nivritti Kumari Ji Mewar as the Chief Guest added immense grace to the celebration. Her inspiring words and soulful presence deeply moved the audience, setting a dignified and emotionally resonant tone for the day. She was joined by esteemed Special Guests including Mrs. Geeta Ahari, Nursing Superintendent of MB Hospital; Dr. Sushma Singhvi, Retired Professor and Patron of Maharana Pratap Senior Citizens’ Association; and Dr. Anjana Verma, Head of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Geetanjali Hospital.
Also gracing the event were senior members and mothers from the Maharana Pratap Senior Citizens’ Association, led by founder Shri Bhanwar Seth, whose continued support toward senior engagement in such events was notable.

The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and a Ganesh Vandana, followed by a heartwarming musical presentation titled “Chhoti Si Chidiya” performed by Nivya Porwal Jain and her daughter, reflecting the tenderness and sacrifices of motherhood.
The audience was then addressed by Dr. Sushma Mogri, who emphasized the importance of maternal health, emotional strength, and empowerment through her articulate speech. All special guests were welcomed with traditional offerings, maintaining the sanctity of the occasion.
One of the visual highlights was the collective presence of over 500 women, all dressed in elegant cream-coloured outfits. A deeply touching segment of the event was the felicitation of 13 mothers, selected as “Story Winners” for their extraordinary journeys and personal stories reflecting strength, compassion, and perseverance in motherhood. These women were:
Madhu Bhatnagar, Bhavna Pokharna, Shaheen Khan, Dr. Shakuntala Sarupria, Geeta Singh Rathore, Devika Tak, Dr. Mala Mathha, Bhavna Jain, Urmila Bhatt, Sohini Joshi, Usha Mishra, Dr. Sonia Sahu, and Manisha Kapil.

The cultural segment featured a captivating dance tribute to Sridevi, choreographed by Jitendra Salvi and presented by JDCA Academy, portraying the legendary actress’s journey as a mother with sensitivity and beauty. This was followed by a classical dance performance by Yashodhara Dance Group, enhancing the cultural richness of the event.
In a practical and empowering talk, Dr. Rashi Agarwal engaged the audience on skincare and self-care for women, addressing queries and sharing helpful insights that added both value and warmth.
