Varied Events Held on Nursing Day at Mewar B.Sc. Nursing College

Udaipur : A two-day celebration began with great enthusiasm on Monday at Mewar B.Sc. Nursing College, Udaipur, to mark International Nursing Day. A range of cultural and academic activities are being organized within the college campus during the event.

The program commenced with the Director of the College, Mr. Pankaj Kumar Sharma, offering floral tributes to Florence Nightingale and lighting the ceremonial lamp. He administered the nursing oath to the newly admitted students and extended best wishes to all on Nursing Day.

In his address, Sharma emphasized that nursing is not just a profession but a sacred service to humanity. He highlighted the core values of compassion, patience, dedication, and service that define the nursing field. He remarked that the COVID-19 pandemic has shown how nurses become the backbone of society during crises. Citing Florence Nightingale’s service during the war, he urged today’s nurses to realize their critical role in society and continuously strive for skill enhancement.

Principal Dr. Sandeep Garg also addressed the students, sharing insights about the future developments in the nursing profession and suggesting ways to make the field more progressive and impactful.

On this occasion, students presented a short play effectively showcasing the duties, services, and significance of nursing in society.

The event was graced by Ramesh Joshi, Mahboob Ahmed Sheikh, Manisha Saini, Vipul Jain, Nikita Menaria, Yogita Suthar, along with the entire college staff and other distinguished guests.
