Governor Attends ‘Integral Humanism’ Diamond Jubilee Celebration in Udaipur

Udaipur: Rajasthan Governor **Shri Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde** attended the *“Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya: Integral Humanism – Diamond Jubilee Celebration”* as the chief guest on Thursday at **Bhupal Nobles University** in Udaipur. The event was jointly organized by the *Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Smriti Samaroh Samiti Jaipur*, *Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth Udaipur*, and *Bhupal Nobles University Udaipur*.

The ceremony was graced by several dignitaries including **Cooperation Minister Gautam Dak**, social worker **Gajpal Singh Rathore**, Prof. **S.S. Sarangdevot**, BN Institute Chairman **Mohabbat Singh**, former Vice-Chancellor **M.L. Chhipa**, BN Institute Secretary **Mahendra Singh Agaria**, and **Dr. Sunita Mishra**, Vice-Chancellor of Mohanlal Sukhadia University. The Governor was accorded a **Guard of Honour** by police personnel upon his arrival at the venue.

### Governor Shares Memories, Honours Eyewitnesses

In his address, Governor Bagde reflected on his personal memories with **Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya**, calling **Mewar a land of brave warriors** who have made immense sacrifices for the nation and Dharma. He highlighted Upadhyaya’s exceptional intellect, unwavering dedication to the nation, and deep compassion for the poor.

The Governor recalled that Pandit Upadhyaya never ranked second in any examination he appeared for. He also shared how Upadhyaya recognized the importance of children's literature and authored a historical account of *Chandragupta Maurya*. The Governor noted Upadhyaya's simplicity, traveling in ordinary attire and dedicating himself to the service of the downtrodden, believing in the philosophy of serving **Daridra Narayan** (God in the poor).

On this occasion, the Governor **honored three individuals** from Udaipur—**Advocate Khubilal Singhvi (Bedla), Banshilal Gadia (Bohra Ganesh Ji), and Pannalal Sharma (Badgaon)**—who had personally witnessed Pandit Upadhyaya’s speech in 1964. He also exchanged memories with them from those times.

### “State Government Serving the Poor as Divine Beings” – Minister Gautam Dak

Cooperation Minister **Gautam Dak** emphasized the ongoing relevance of **Integral Humanism**, linking the philosophy of *Antyodaya* (upliftment of the last person) to the policies of **Prime Minister Narendra Modi**. He said that in the last ten years, the Modi government has internalized these values and implemented them at the ground level, which has lifted over **25 crore people out of poverty**.

He also referred to the historic **"Food for Work"** scheme introduced by former Rajasthan CM **Bhairon Singh Shekhawat**, and appreciated current CM **Bhajanlal Sharma's** approach of treating the poor as **“Ganesh” (divine figures)** in governance and public service.
