#### State-Level Launch of 'Dharti Aba Janbhagidari Abhiyan' Held in Kotda

Kotda, a tribal-dominated region of Udaipur district, witnessed the state-level launch of the Dharti Aba Janbhagidari Abhiyan on Monday at the Eklavya Model Residential School ground. The event was graced by the Minister of Tribal Area Development (TAD), Shri Babulal Kharadi, who formally inaugurated the campaign dedicated to the 150th birth anniversary of tribal icon Birsa Munda, observed by the Central Government as ‘Tribal Pride Year’.

During his address, Minister Kharadi stated that the campaign draws inspiration from the life of Birsa Munda and reflects the commitment of the Central and State governments to uplift tribal communities. He emphasized that the campaign aims to eradicate poverty, illiteracy, and inequality from tribal belts through concerted efforts and coordination between various departments.

Emphasis on Water Conservation and Environmental Protection

Highlighting the Vande Ganga Jal Sanrakshan Jan Abhiyan, the minister warned against deforestation and its impact on rainfall and the environment. He urged the rural population to protect forests, conserve water sources, and maintain ecological balance. He also announced an annual incentive of ₹30,000 to farmers using bullocks in traditional farming and free distribution of 5 kg improved maize seeds. Schools in tribal areas will receive new classrooms and vacant posts will be filled promptly.

People’s Participation is Key to Success

Kharadi underlined that the success of government schemes depends on active public participation. He pointed out that the lower impact of COVID-19 in tribal regions was largely due to their clean and green environment, which must be preserved.

Raising Awareness Among the People – MLA Gameti

Gogunda MLA Pratap Lal Gameti remarked that visible transformation is occurring in tribal regions due to government schemes, and it is everyone's responsibility to ensure benefits reach eligible families. Deputy Zila Pramukh Pushkar Teli called the campaign a milestone in connecting rural populations with schemes. CEO of the Zila Parishad, Riya Dabi, emphasized making the campaign a mass movement.

Basic Amenities to Be Developed in 6,019 Tribal Villages

TAD Commissioner Shakti Singh revealed that 6,019 tribal villages in the state still lack basic infrastructure, which the Dharti Aba campaign aims to address. He said the Central Government has allocated ₹80,000 crore for this mission. The five-year action plan includes integration of 25 programmes from 18 departments, covering housing (PMAY), road connectivity (PMGSY), water supply, electricity, Ayushman Bharat cards, internet, education, nutrition, skill training, multipurpose tribal markets, homestays, agriculture, livestock, fisheries, mobile medical units, immunization, forest rights implementation, and sickle cell anemia testing.

Cultural Welcome and Symbolic Distribution of Benefits

Guests were welcomed with the traditional Chang folk dance of Kotda. Various departmental stalls were installed to spread awareness. Minister Kharadi inspected each stall and directed officials to ensure effective communication of scheme benefits. Symbolic distribution of benefits like Forest Rights Pattas, PMAY houses, and free seed kits was done during the ceremony. Tree plantation was also conducted at the residential school campus.

The program began with floral tributes to Birsa Munda and lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Minister Kharadi unveiled the campaign plaque, marking the official launch in Rajasthan. Officer-in-charge Anurag Bhatnagar gave an overview of the campaign. Kotda Pradhan Smt. Sugna Devi extended her gratitude to all participants. Following the state-level launch, camps under the campaign have begun in relevant districts.

Sickle Cell Screening and Public Service Camps

Awareness and screening for sickle cell anemia will be part of the campaign. Camps will also provide services like Aadhaar registration and updates, Ayushman Bharat cards, caste and residence certificates, PM-Kisan registrations, Jan Dhan accounts, and pension approvals. Departments including Health, Rural Development, Social Justice, Agriculture, and Revenue will collaborate under this initiative.
