### Silver Chariot to be Installed Today at Jagdish Chowk
Udaipur, As part of the preparations for the grand Rath Yatra festival of Thakurji Shri Shri 1008 Shri Jagannath Rayji, scheduled for Friday, June 27, 2025, the revered Rajat Rath (Silver Chariot) will be ceremoniously installed this evening at the Jagdish Chowk premises.
For the past one and a half months, meticulous cleaning and preparation of the chariot have been underway under the guidance of Gopalji Suthar and Kishanlal Suthar of Arbuda Handicrafts, and Kamal Chauhan of Chauhan Handicrafts. The horse decorations were beautifully completed by Kailash Meghwal and Kailash Jeenagar.
This evening, following the Sandhya Aarti, the Jagdish Chowk premises will be purified with Gaumutra and sacred Ganga water. The symbolic form of Lord Ganesha from the Nij Mandir of Jagannath Rayji will then be brought in a festive procession to the Jagdish Chowk, accompanied by music and chanting.
After a traditional Ganpati Puja with Vedic mantras, parts of the silver chariot will be assembled with the support of 200–300 devoted volunteers and members of Shri Rath Samiti, Udaipur. The process will be carried out under the guidance of Samiti Patrons Ghanshyamji Chawla, President Rajendra Shrimali, Vice President Surendra Singh, Karthik Dakhni, Nilesh Jeenagar, and Secretary Ravi Mali. Enthusiastic chants of "Jai Kanhaiyalal!" will echo through the premises as the chariot takes its place.
Technical experts of the Samiti — Gopal Suthar, Kamal Chauhan, Ambalal Lohar, Kishanlal Suthar, and Rajendra Sen — will supervise the chariot’s assembly. The fitting work, being executed by Narendra Banna, Harish Paliwal, Kailash Sharma, Hansraj Uthwal, Himmat Mali, Prashant Mali, Yash Bamb, Om Singh Panwar, and Nilesh Tamboli, will be completed by June 25. The fully assembled Rajat Rath will then be open for public darshan, allowing devotees to offer their reverence in advance of the Rath Yatra.
