Blackbuck Wins Chanderiya Lead Zinc Smelter In-House Football Tournament
Zinc Nagar, Chanderiya.The third season of the In-House Football Tournament organized by Hindustan Zinc’s Chanderiya Lead Zinc Smelter concluded with Team Blackbuck emerging as the champions. In a one-sided final match against Mewar FC, Blackbuck delivered a stellar performance, clinching victory with a score of 7–1.
Spanning over 10 days, the tournament saw enthusiastic participation from employees across the unit. A total of 11 teams competed, with each team comprising 7 male and 2 female employees, reflecting the company’s strong commitment to inclusivity and team spirit. Prior to the final, a friendly exhibition match was played between the Management Team and the Union Team, in which the Management Team won 5–1.
The tournament was graced by the presence of Hindustan Zinc Deputy CEO (Smelters) Manas Tyagi, HR Head Anup Kumar, and Deputy HR Head Mamta Sharma, who motivated and encouraged the players. Special guests included Ranjit Singh Bhati, Pushpendra Meena, Ripon Ghosh, Balchand Patidar, and Dilip Singh.
The event was successfully coordinated by organizers Vijay Rao, Inderjeet Singh Bhati, and Apoorva Trivedi, who played a key role in its execution.
