Employment Incentive Scheme Under Provident Fund

Udaipur – Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Union Cabinet has approved a significant employment-linked incentive scheme aimed at generating new jobs for the youth and unemployed while ensuring their social security. The scheme is expected to create 3.5 crore new employment opportunities within the next two years.

Appeal to Employers to Avail Benefits
Regional Provident Fund Commissioner Prashant Kumar Sinha has appealed to employers across all districts under the Udaipur region to make the most of this opportunity. He stated that institutions and industries registered under the Employees’ Provident Fund Act, 1952, are eligible to avail benefits under this scheme during the period from August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2027.

Financial Incentives for Employment Generation
Under the ELI (Employment Linked Incentive) scheme, employers and employees generating new jobs within the specified period will be granted assured financial incentives. The target is to provide 3.5 crore new employment opportunities, out of which 1.9 crore individuals will be joining the workforce for the first time.

Extended Benefits for Manufacturing Sector
The scheme offers benefits for two years to employers generating new employment, and four years for those in the manufacturing sector.

Benefits for First-Time Employees
Employees getting their first job under this scheme will receive a maximum of ₹15,000 as salary incentive in two installments — the first after 6 months of continuous employment and the second after completing 12 months.

Monthly Incentives for Employers
Registered employers will receive monthly incentives based on the salary of newly appointed employees:

₹1,000/month for employees earning up to ₹10,000/month

₹2,000/month for employees earning between ₹10,000 and ₹20,000/month

₹3,000/month for employees earning between ₹20,000 and ₹1,00,000/month

Minimum Employment Requirement for Incentives
To qualify:

Institutions with less than 50 employees must appoint at least 2 new employees.

Institutions with more than 50 employees must appoint at least 5 new employees and retain them continuously for six months.

District-Wise Call for Participation
Sinha has appealed to all employers in Udaipur, Rajsamand, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Pratapgarh, Banswara, Dungarpur, and Salumber to actively participate by creating maximum employment between August 1, 2025, and July 31, 2027, and avail the benefits of this scheme both for their organizations and employees.
