Six Rising Chess Talents from Lakecity Earn FIDE Ratings
FIDE's Latest Rating List Brings Pride to Udaipur
Udaipur – A proud moment emerged for Lakecity as six young chess players from Udaipur earned their first international FIDE (Fédération Internationale des Échecs) ratings through stellar performances in FIDE-rated tournaments, as per the latest rating list released by the World Chess Federation.
According to Tushar Mehta, mentor of Chess in Lakecity, the following players have secured their standard ratings:
Priyanshu Nayak – 1463
Divyansh Mathur – 1566
Jenil Parmar – 1642
Sujyot Manoj Kale – 1470
Vineet Kage – 1475
Gatik Vyas – 1420 (also Rapid Rating: 1457)
These ratings are a result of dedicated efforts, consistent training, and participation in recognized FIDE-rated tournaments held across various cities and states. Achieving a FIDE rating is considered a major milestone in a chess player’s career.
The newly rated players are being trained under CIL International School of Chess and Castle Mind Chess, both reputed academies that have been at the forefront of promoting and training chess talents in Udaipur.
With the addition of these six players, Udaipur has witnessed a significant rise in the number of FIDE-rated players, giving the city a fresh identity in the field of chess.
The announcement was met with enthusiastic celebrations from the chess fraternity. Members of Buddhibal Seva Sansthan, which runs Chess in Lakecity, extended heartfelt congratulations. Among the dignitaries present were:
Tushar Mehta (Patron), Rajeev Bhardwaj (President), Dr. Om Sahu (Vice President), Rajendra Teli (Rajasthan State Association), Adv. Manish Mogra, Vikas Sahu (Secretary), and coaches Nilesh Kumawat, Kushal Patel, Divyanshu Babel, Bhavesh Pandiyar, Siddharth Jain, Hardik Dak, Prakhar Chappalot, Disha Sisodia, Manish Chandalya, Kapil Sahu, and Richin Jain.
All extended warm congratulations and expressed optimism that this is just the beginning. More young talents from Udaipur are expected to make their mark on national and international platforms in the near future.
