600 Saplings Planted in Mega Plantation Drive at Navneet College

Students enthusiastically participate in state-led green initiative

Jamgarh, As part of the large-scale plantation drive initiated by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, a tree plantation programme was organised today at the campus of Navneet College of Technology, located in village Baghwar, Tehsil Sagri. On this occasion, students and faculty members together planted 600 saplings.

The plantation drive featured a variety of fruit-bearing and shade-giving trees, including mango, mahua, teak (sagwan), jackfruit, mahogany, and guava. Navneet College of Technology is a prominent technical institution in the Purvanchal region and has been operational since 2008. Students and staff from BTC, Polytechnic, ITI, School, and Pharmacy departments participated in the campaign with great enthusiasm.

Professor Amarika Singh, founder of the institution, highlighted the importance of tree plantation and said, “This is a commendable initiative. If governments and institutions continue such efforts regularly, it will not only send a strong message on environmental conservation but also stand as proof of India’s growing awareness on the global stage.”

All participants in the programme took a pledge to protect the environment and contribute to increased greenery.
