RSS's Green Initiative: 'Harit Ghar Darshan' Begins with Tree Worship
Exploration of Herbal Garden and Reflections on Environmental Protection
Jaipur, Under the environmental protection initiative of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Jaipur Province, the "Harit Ghar Darshan Programme and Environmental Seminar" was successfully organized on Saturday at the Orion Greens campus. Office bearers from RSS Jaipur Province, Mahanagar, Vidhyadhar Bhagh, and the Orion Greens organization participated in the event, reinforcing awareness toward ecological conservation.
Tree Worship Marks the Beginning
The event commenced with traditional Vriksha Poojan (tree worship), a practice rooted in Indian culture. All office bearers took part in the ritual, highlighting the importance of medicinal plants and pledging their commitment to their preservation.
Following the ritual, the attendees toured the medicinal garden of Orion Greens. During the tour, both scientific and cultural insights regarding various medicinal plants were shared. Refreshments were arranged for all participants after the visit.
Insights into 'Eco Mitram' App
The seminar included a detailed session on the 'Eco Mitram' mobile app, explaining how it can be used to connect and share environmental activities. Volunteers present at the event pledged to incorporate the app into their local environmental campaigns.
Dialogue on Future Plans
The session also served as a platform for discussing future tree plantation and conservation initiatives. Volunteers and activists from various regions shared their experiences and ongoing projects related to environmental efforts.
The event was graced by the guidance of Regional RSS Director Dr. Ramesh Agrawal, who emphasized integrating environmental conservation as a core element of RSS work. Advisor Anand Swaroop Agnihotri also shared his valuable thoughts during the session.
The entire programme was coordinated and executed under the leadership of Ashok Sharma and Neeta Upadhyay, who played a key role in planning, coordination, and execution.
