Chittorgarh – The initiatives undertaken by Hindustan Zinc in the field of education across nearby villages were described as commendable and exemplary by Additional District Project Coordinator of the Education Department, Pramod Kumar Dashora. He stated that the quality work being carried out under the company’s CSR initiatives has strengthened rural education by improving the condition of schools. Dashora was speaking at the inauguration of newly constructed classrooms and renovation works at the Government Upper Primary School, Munga Ka Kheda, developed by Hindustan Zinc.
He highlighted that under its social responsibility commitments, Hindustan Zinc has been contributing to education through the repair of school buildings, construction of classrooms, and the introduction of diverse educational activities for the holistic development of children in nearby schools. Under the Shiksha Sambal programme, the company has been providing additional teachers for Mathematics, Science, and English, along with periodic coaching classes, leading to improved academic results in rural areas.
Head CSR, Chanderiya Lead Zinc Smelter, Sundar Raj Naidu, provided details of the CSR projects undertaken in the vicinity, mentioning that the company is continuously operating initiatives in education, healthcare, skill development, women’s empowerment, farmers’ integrated development, and child welfare.
At the Upper Primary School, Munga Ka Kheda, Hindustan Zinc inaugurated the construction of two new classrooms, renovation and repairs of other classrooms, painting, installation of new doors and windows, and the addition of a rainwater harvesting structure, among other works.
The inauguration plaque was unveiled in the presence of Education Department Resource Persons Ravindra Bhatt and Hemendra Soni, AEN Nikhil Kumar Sharma, Programme Officer Lokesh Narayan Sharma, PEEO Dr. Naval Singh Chaudhary, Ward Panch Rajesh Kumar Jat, Head Civil of Hindustan Zinc Chanderiya Lead Zinc Smelter Kamakhya Singh, Senior Manager Civil Sunil Kumar Sabla, AGM Major Akanksha Dixit, and School Principal Sunil Kumar Rao, along with other dignitaries.
The school staff and village representatives extended a warm welcome to all guests and expressed their gratitude for the developmental works undertaken. The school children presented vibrant cultural performances during the event. The gathering was also attended by former Deputy Sarpanch Mohan Lal Jat, Shyam Lal Gadri, Raju Gadri, Ratanlal Salvi, Shivram Vaishnav, CSR Department members Yogesh Kumar Verma and Gauri M from Chanderiya Lead Zinc Smelter, CSR coordination team members, school staff, and villagers.
