Udaipur District Under-13 Chess Championship 2025 Concludes
Four Players to Represent District in State-Level Event
Udaipur — The Udaipur District Under-13 Chess Championship 2025, organised under the aegis of the Udaipur District Chess Association, concluded successfully at Saraswati Sadan, Rajasthan Shikshak Sangh (National), Sector-4, Udaipur.
The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Mangal Singh Jain and Special Guest Balveer Singh Rathore, who encouraged the young talents, noting that chess enhances children’s concentration, analytical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
Chief Arbiter Vikas Chandel ensured the smooth conduct of the tournament. Matches were played in a Swiss league format — six rounds in the boys’ category and five rounds in the girls’ category — featuring talented participants from various schools and clubs across the district.
In the girls’ category, a close contest saw Paushita Paliwal clinch first place with 4.5 points, followed by Lorisha Kothari with 4 points. Veera Kage and Vihana Kothari secured third and fourth positions respectively. Other top-10 finishers included Himani Chaparwal, Jesvi Chaubisa, Bhavana Kumari, Mananya Chaudhary, Khushi Pagaria, and Morel Mehta.
In the boys’ category, Rishaan Jain emerged champion with a flawless 6/6 score, while Kiyana Parihar took the runner-up spot with 5 points. Viansh Bhatnagar, Lav Agrawal, Agastya Lodha, Divyansh Mathur, Bhavyansh Sharma, Puranjay Chaudhary, Param Wadhwani, and Dhananjay Shukla also secured top-10 positions.
As per tournament rules, the top two players from each category — Paushita Paliwal, Lorisha Kothari, Rishaan Jain, and Kiyana Parihar — will now represent Udaipur in the Rajasthan State Under-13 Chess Championship, commencing today, 14 August, in Udaipur.
The Udaipur District Chess Association, through this event, not only provided a platform for young players to showcase their skills but also paved the way for their participation in higher-level state and national competitions.
