Ramdevra Fair Ensures Safe Darshan
Strong police deployment maintains peace at 641st fair
Jaisalmer. The 641st Lokdevta Baba Ramdevra Fair–2025 is underway in Ramdevra, Jaisalmer district, where millions of devotees are arriving daily to pay homage at Baba’s sacred shrine. Under the able direction of District Collector Pratap Singh and Superintendent of Police Abhishek Shivhare, elaborate security and management measures have been put in place to ensure that devotees have smooth and peaceful darshan.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhawani Singh informed that anticipating the heavy influx of pilgrims, police personnel have been deployed at every point of the fairgrounds. Devotees are guided in orderly queues to avoid overcrowding or pushing. A wireless control room has been established at the temple, with zone-wise deployment of police forces. CCTV cameras have also been installed across the fairgrounds to strengthen vigilance.
The police team, including both male and female personnel, remains alert round-the-clock, keeping strict watch on every activity and preventing the movement of anti-social elements. Notably, no untoward incident has occurred so far, thanks to the rigorous arrangements and constant monitoring.
The fair area has been divided into nine sectors, with duty shifts arranged in three rotations daily. Eleven control rooms are operational 24x7 to assist devotees. In addition, three checking squads have been deployed for constant patrolling. In total, more than 1,695 police personnel have been stationed to ensure the safety and convenience of visitors.
As a result of these measures, lakhs of devotees are reaching Baba Ramdevra’s shrine and performing darshan with ease and devotion, with the entire fairground resonating in an atmosphere of peace and order.
