Ward-Wise Camps and Officer Duties Announced

Municipal Council to conduct preparatory camps from September 4 to 13 ahead of the main drive starting September 15

Sriganganagar,  In compliance with the directives of the state government, the Municipal Council of Sriganganagar will organize “Shahar Chalo Abhiyan – 2025” from September 15 to October 2, 2025. Under this campaign, a series of civic improvement works will be undertaken, including sanitation drives, repair and installation of streetlights, fixing broken ferro-covers and crossings, rectifying black spots, patchwork of roads, maintenance of public parks, cleaning and repair of public toilets, sewerage connections and repairs, and clearance of pending files in the municipal office.

The campaign will also facilitate the disposal of various public service applications related to state grant pattas, regularization of slum dwellings under Section 69A, agricultural land, land use conversion, Khatedari land, mutation, building plan approvals, trade licenses, fire NOC, subdivision and integration, lease release certificates, registration of births, deaths, and marriages, social security pensions, applications under CM and PM Svanidhi Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, and applications for construction of household toilets under SBM 2.0.

Commissioner Ravindra Singh Yadav informed that in preparation for the main campaign, “Pre-Camps” will be organized ward-wise from September 4 to 13, 2025, to identify civic issues and receive public applications. The camp scheduled at the Municipal Council on September 4 will be supervised by Executive Engineer M. Setia with Assistant Engineer Sumit Kumar Mathur as co-incharge. Camps to be held across various wards from September 8 to 13 will be led by Secretary Rakesh Kumar, with Revenue Officer Manish Kumar Pareek serving as co-incharge. Pareek has also been appointed as the nodal officer for all camps.

For smooth conduct of the campaign, the duties of council officers and staff have been assigned for camp management and public facilitation. The Commissioner has appealed to the citizens to actively participate in these camps and avail the maximum benefits of the facilities being provided.
