District Collector Inspects Elevated Road Construction Work

No compromise on quality or timeline – Collector Mehta

Udaipur,  District Collector and Municipal Corporation Administrator Namit Mehta inspected the ongoing construction work of the elevated road in the city on Thursday. Expressing displeasure over the slow pace of work, he instructed the executing agency to ensure timely completion with uncompromised quality.

Around 11 a.m., Collector Mehta reached the Municipal Corporation Town Hall, where he reviewed the progress of the elevated road project in the presence of Commissioner Abhishek Khanna, Superintendent Engineer Mukesh Pujari, and other officials. Observing the sluggish progress, he called the Project Manager of the executing agency, Mr. Sukhdev, for a detailed discussion. The Collector carried out a month-wise review of the expected versus achieved progress since the project commenced and directed the agency to strictly adhere to the timeline.

Following the meeting, Collector Mehta, accompanied by officials, visited the construction site for inspection. He observed the pillar construction work being carried out in front of the Municipal Corporation office and discussed technical details with officials from both the Corporation and the executing agency.

Collector Mehta emphasized that there should be no compromise in the quality of work. He advised the agency to immediately bring any governance or administrative issues to notice for prompt resolution, while making it clear that the project must be completed on time to avoid inconvenience to the public.

He also reviewed the progress near Udiapol and visited the site at Delhi Gate. At the Delhi Gate location, he instructed officials to explore possibilities of improving the proposed curve design with technically superior options.
