District-Level Boxing and Gymnastics Tournament Concludes

Udaipur, The 69th District-Level Sports Competition, organized by the Education Department, concluded with the 14-year boxing and gymnastics events for boys and girls at Bal Vinay Mandir Senior Secondary School, Udaipur. The closing ceremony was held under the chairmanship of the school’s Principal, Shankarlal Menaria.

The program was graced by Joint Director of School Education, Ranjana Kothari, as the Chief Guest. The distinguished guests included Assistant Accounts Officer Mahak Sanadhya, Vice Principal Dr. Nitin Menaria, Sunil Nagda, Mahendra Singh Solanki, Jitendra Thakur, and Narendrapal Singh Rathore.

The event began with the garlanding of Goddess Saraswati and a devotional prayer. Principal Menaria welcomed the guests with an address. Dr. Nitin Menaria presented the sports report, highlighting that 27 teams participated in gymnastics and 35 teams in boxing.

Chief Guest Mrs. Kothari presented the winner’s trophy in boxing to St. Anthony’s School. In gymnastics (boys’ category), Royal Public School secured the first position, Government Upper Primary School Bara stood second, while the host school, Bal Vinay Mandir Sr. Sec. School, secured third place. Gold, silver, and bronze medals were awarded in both boxing and gymnastics.

In her address, Mrs. Kothari emphasized the importance of sports in education, stating that games enhance self-confidence among students, contributing to their all-round development and ensuring success in every field.

All referees were felicitated with mementoes. The Principal also presented souvenirs to the guests. The program was conducted by Ms. Nishat Parveen, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Deepak Sharma. The event witnessed the presence of school staff, representatives, team managers, and parents.
