ADPC Vinod Kumar Rathore directs ban on student entry into dilapidated school buildings in Banswara

Teachers Urged to Be Nation Builders, Not Salary Earners

Banswara, Additional District Project Coordinator (Samagra Shiksha) Vinod Kumar Rathore, during a surprise inspection at Government Senior Secondary School Amarthun under Ghatal subdivision, instructed that all dilapidated, crumbling, and unsafe school buildings be declared restricted areas with fencing to prohibit the entry of students and staff. He emphasized that alternative arrangements must be ensured, while teachers themselves should take initiative through the Gyan Sankalp Portal and local community support, including Bhamashah contributions, to make their school buildings safe and functional.

Rathore addressed heads of eight primary schools, two upper primary schools, three Anganwadis, and staff of Maa-Badi centers, stressing that the role of teachers extends beyond teaching—they must actively engage in the development of their institutions. He encouraged them to mobilize resources for minor repairs, painting, and infrastructure improvements.

He reviewed proposals sent to higher authorities, assuring that positive outcomes would be visible soon. He also interacted with the infrastructure inspection team, inspected facilities, taught a biology class for Class XI, and evaluated the implementation of welfare schemes such as Palnahar Yojana, Aapki Beti, scholarships, Prakhar Yojana 2.0, and the Mid-Day Meal Scheme, checking the quality of fruits, milk, and grains.

During visits to other schools, he directed the contractor at Rapravi Handia Pada to repair doors and pillars of three newly constructed classrooms and took note of students studying in makeshift huts at Rapravi Gulabpura due to unsafe buildings.

Principal Arun Vyas presented a memorandum highlighting achievements—100% quality board results for four years despite nine vacant posts, second rank in enrollment drives, and plantation drives—while demanding construction of 10 classrooms, three laboratories, a girls’ hostel, a stadium, and the introduction of NSS and NCC activities.

The program saw participation from nodal secretary Chunnilal Dayama and several teachers and staff including Shishupal Kamol, Rinku Madam, Ashish Kumar, Bherulal Dodiyar, Khushpal Katara, Dayashankar Charpota, Mayur Padiyar, Mukesh Patel, Jeevanlal Ninama, Badanlal Damor, Anoop Mehta, Kapil Verma, Parvat Singh, Harishankar, Mansingh, Raina Ninama, Rakam Chandra Charpota, and Manita Kanwar Rao, who shared school activities.
