Udaipur, A workshop of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) City District Udaipur was held at the party office, Patel Circle, under the chairmanship of District President Gajpal Singh Rathore. The workshop marked preparations for the upcoming Seva Pakhwada (Service Fortnight), to be launched nationwide on September 17, the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Focus on Public Service Initiatives
The Service Fortnight will include a series of activities such as blood donation drives, cleanliness campaigns, “Viksit Bharat” painting competitions, self-reliance awareness programs, and campaigns promoting local and Swadeshi products. These initiatives aim to connect the common people with service-oriented programs and extend practical assistance.
During the workshop, detailed discussions were also held on Next Generation GST Reforms, Aatmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan, and the upcoming Sansad Khel Mahotsav.
Blood Donation Camps across Udaipur District
Speaking at the workshop, BJP leaders stressed that service activities must take place at the grassroots level with active involvement of every booth-level worker. Pramod Samar, State Cooperative Convener, said that service work brings not only social impact but also mental and spiritual peace.
On the occasion of Prime Minister Modi’s birthday (September 17) and the Terapanth Yuvak Parishad Foundation Day, 24 blood donation camps will be organized across the district, including 16 in Udaipur city. BJP office bearers, Seva Pakhwada conveners, co-conveners, and workers will participate actively, inspiring maximum blood donations.
Development and Organizational Strategies
MLA Tarachand Jain spoke on Udaipur’s development strategy, highlighting plans for a new elevated road and a ring road from Samor Bagh–Pichola to Malla Talai as significant upcoming projects for city residents.
Former District President and keynote speaker Chandragupt Singh Chauhan urged that both new and senior office bearers should work together to expand service activities. He emphasized that BJP has always remained at the forefront of public service and national interest, with every worker committed to the nation’s prosperity and welfare.
Dr. Alka Mundra, former State President of BJP Mahila Morcha and Co-convener of Seva Pakhwada, outlined the two-phase blood donation drive—first at the district level, followed by mandal-level programs. She also explained the schedule of various activities from September 17 to October 2 (Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti).
GST Reforms and Sports Festival
City District General Secretary Paras Singhvi elaborated on the Next Generation GST Reforms, noting that many daily-use items have been made cheaper and 33 essential life-saving medicines have been exempted from tax. He thanked the party’s top leadership for implementing people-friendly reforms.
General Secretary Dr. Pankaj Borana, co-convener of the Sansad Khel Mahotsav, explained that the sports festival, aligned with the “Fit India” mission, will be organized nationwide from ward to Lok Sabha level. Online registration for individuals and teams has already started. In Udaipur, Devnarayan Dhabai and Jagdish Sharma will lead the district coordination teams.
The social media team, including Mohan Sanadhya and Pankaj Sukhwal, demonstrated on a live projector how to upload Seva Pakhwada, GST reforms, and Sansad Khel Mahotsav updates on the Saral App.
Closing and Participation
The workshop was conducted by District General Secretary Devilal Salvi, who summarized the upcoming programs. District Vice President Devnarayan Dhabai expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, office bearers, and workers.
