#### Focus on Night Tourism, Water Shows, and Timely Completion of Projects

Udaipur, Rajasthan – Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Finance, Tourism, Public Works, Art, Culture, Literature, Archaeology, Women & Child Development, and Child Rights, Diya Kumari chaired a district-level review meeting on Sunday at the Collectorate Auditorium during her visit to Udaipur. The meeting reviewed the progress of budget announcements, departmental schemes, and ongoing projects, with clear directives issued to officials.

Timely and Quality Development Work with Expert Involvement

During the review of the Public Works Department (PWD), Tourism, and Women & Child Development, Diya Kumari instructed that development works must be completed on time with strict quality standards. Where required, experts should also be involved. She directed that roads under guarantee periods be repaired promptly by contractors and action be taken in cases of default.

She emphasized exploring the possibilities of light-and-sound shows or water shows on Udaipur’s water bodies, similar to Singapore and Dubai. Additionally, she advised officials to ensure migrant Anganwadi children from tribal and remote areas are linked with Anganwadi centres in other states so they continue receiving benefits.

Acceleration of Tourism Prospects in Udaipur

Highlighting Udaipur’s global reputation as a tourist destination, the Deputy CM stressed the need to develop night tourism and water shows while ensuring the conservation of lakes and the natural environment. She also reviewed budget announcements on the Tribal Tourism Circuit, instructing that tribal sites be included and provided with essential facilities. Progress on the Maharana Pratap Tourist Circuit was also discussed, with indications of an early foundation laying.

She further suggested that works under the temples and geological sites (Zawar, Jhamarkotda, etc.) be carried out with the involvement of the Devasthan Department, Archaeology, and relevant experts.

Strengthening of Anganwadi Centres

In the review of Women & Child Development schemes, Diya Kumari took updates on the progress of model Anganwadi centres and infrastructure strengthening. It was informed that funds had been sanctioned from DMFT and disaster relief initiatives, ensuring 100% strengthening of Anganwadis in the district. She directed a survey of Anganwadi centres lacking network connectivity and the preparation of alternative arrangements. Updates on Poshan Maah activities were also reviewed.

PWD Monitoring through SEWA App

During PWD discussions, the Deputy CM instructed that the SEWA app, currently used only by departmental officers for monitoring, should also be connected to the district administration to improve ground-level oversight. She demanded the repair of all monsoon-damaged roads before Diwali and asked the District Collector to resolve issues related to NOC approvals from the Forest Department at the earliest.

Praise for District Administration

Diya Kumari appreciated the efforts of District Collector Namit Mehta and the district administration, noting that development works were progressing at a fast pace with time-bound execution. She emphasized that continuous monitoring and timely implementation were essential to strengthening public trust.
