#### State-Level Science Seminar Organized at Paaher University

Paaher University, in association with DST Udaipur, organized a national seminar on the theme “The Dawn of the Quantum Era: Opportunities and Challenges.” The event aimed to discuss the latest developments in quantum technology, explore its potential applications, and address emerging challenges in the field.

Presiding over the program, Professor Hemant Kothari, President of Paaher University, remarked that humanity stands at the threshold of an era where quantum technology has the power to transform civilization. From healthcare to cybersecurity, its applications will drive the next industrial revolution. He emphasized the university’s commitment to leading research and education in this field and encouraged students to pursue careers in this emerging domain.

The Chief Guest, Professor Dilendra Hiran, Faculty Chairman at Paaher University, highlighted that concepts of quantum mechanics are no longer limited to theoretical physics. Today, it has become an experimental science forming the backbone of technological innovation. He stressed the responsibility of educational institutions to align curricula with these advancements and prepare students for future challenges. The seminar was intended to sow this awareness among participants.

Keynote speakers included Mr. Kailash Mishra, Deputy Director, Regional Science Center, DST Jaipur, who provided insights on quantum computing, quantum cryptography, and their contribution to national development. Mr. Manish Jain, Project Officer at DST Udaipur, also shared his perspectives during the event.

The program was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Seema Kothari, Dean of Science Faculty, and Dr. Shikha Verma, who played a pivotal role in its successful execution. They emphasized academic aspects of quantum mechanics and future directions for research.

During the seminar, participants delivered presentations of up to six minutes using a maximum of five slides or charts. A question-and-answer session followed, allowing evaluators to assess the students’ understanding of the topic.

Students selected in this state-level competition will now have the opportunity to represent Rajasthan at the National Science Seminar, scheduled for October 30, 2025, at the Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum, Bengaluru.
